African fashion week Nigeria

Morning guyssss , hope you had a goodnight sleep. So, at the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria event that took place at V.I Lagos.

                                                            Monalisa Chinda

She attended the event wearing a gorgeous gown which features a black leather and gold bodice, and a colorful long chiffon skirt, she accessorized with a diamond bracelet and white clutch, her makeup was just fabulous, she opted for pink lipstick.

Liz John-Black

Here she was really gorgeous in a full length yellow gown with sleeves and a deep V neckline, actually the dress was designed by her. She accessorized with a brooch around the V neckline and some bangles, also we love her hairdo, leaving some curls out playing around her face was a good choice, and her makeup too was flawless.

IK Ogbonna

Nollywood actor/model Ik Ogbonna's looked dapper in a blue suit white shirt and pants, styled with a brown tie, brown pocket square and white and black lace up shoes. This would make for an amazing sunday outfit.

                                                                        Ozzy Agu

Ozzy looked cool in a jeans jacket with leather sleeves, styled with a white T-shirt , black pants and black shoes , we thought he looked really really cool and fun . we would definitely love to hang out with him.

                                                                     Beverly Osu'

She walked the red carpet in  a black long dress with double slits and a T strap gladiator heels, loving the print design on her dress, she accessorized with just a wrist watch and studs, yeah i know we both can't see the other slit except in other fotoz and no, she shouldn't have held unto that end of her dress on the red carpet, when you're on the red carpet getting fotographed, your hands should be on your hips or waist or strike a good pose that doesnt include you holding the dress like that which makes it difficult to see what you're wearing, also we would have preferred if her hair was styled in a chignon updo, but it's not looking that bad.

well, she's some random guest at the event (meaning we don't know her name) she looked so adorable, we really liked her gown
she's wearing a black long chiffon gown, with an ankara detailing at her waist, the dress suits her and the occasion, she accessorized with a black clutch(would have preferred a pop of color, maybe yellow) ,a pair of gold drop earrings and a black and gold bracelet, styling what seems like her natural hair perfectly , she completed her look with a red lipstick.

                                                                      Liz Yemoja

Liz yemoja wore a black gown with blue lace detailing and nude sheer detailing, well, we thought the dress didn't sit well on her + her pose is wrong, loved her hair though , suits her well.

we know florals are a huge trend this season however some people don't know how to wear them, you can obviously mix plaid/checkered designs with florals but definitely not the way this lady wore hers, the floral blazer is superb! But should have been matched with a plain trouser or skirt and the skirt she's wearing,we're not a fan of the skirt at all , we think that design is better suited for a shirt or a shorter skirt.

Now the gown on the right is an example of how to wear a floral print and plaid mixed together and if you do a little more research you'll find more exciting mixtures on dresses and even shirts that you can totally pull off but wearing them separately like this is very risky. If at all you must, try wearing florals on plaids or checkered clothes that don't have a lot going on just like the pattern on the gown up there, and it'll be better if it comes in trousers or shorts or shorter skirts. So, what do you guys think???
