The 2014 Aquafina Elite Model Look competition red carpet was wild,It was colourful and had a whole lot of interesting people wearing equally interesting red carpet looks, lets get started.
First we have Stephanie Coker
In this off the shoulder yellow gown,she looks very pretty, hair and make is on point, we are loving the angelina (the long side slit) she is showing off her lovely legs, her skin tone is working right on with the color of her gown but its not all great,the long sleeves and slighty puffy shoulders didn't really work for us, this kind of aged her a bit, it feels like a gown Clarion Chukwurah or Nkiru Anumudu should be wearing, not her but thankfully there was the angelina, it totally helped the entire look.
Next we have Zizi Cardow, she is a veteran designer in Nigeria, popular for her amazing pieces, she is usually seen wearing avant garde outfits, looks and attires so this really is no shock, it would have been fine though quite excusable if not for the polker dot see through top she has on , for her age this is a humongous mistake it just isn't right, her bra is showing, her belly is on full display exactly what message is she passing out with this look please do cover all of that up next time.
Lastly we have media personality and blogger Isio Wanagho she was also part of the many celebrities in attendance, she is wearing this red dress thats mixed with black and a nude shade around the neck and shoulders, it has a short hand and completed with a collar, now this actually isn't a bad look, she looks great, her hair and make up is beautiful and she paired her look with the right shoe, the right bag but just that this is a runway competition show, its fashion, lights, drama, models and stylish people at every angle so this isn't quite fit for this event she looks like a female Ceo who decided to wear a dress to work instead of a suit thats the vibe she is giving us with this look, it truly is not worthy of this event.
Also at the 2014 Aquafina Elite Model look competition was Celebrity actress Genevive Nnaji, she wore black at first glance, you think its a dress but then you look at it again and realise its a short sleeved shirt tucked into a skirt but with the help of her belt you can barely see the distinctions, anyways she looks so lovely, her hair is to die for and she paired her look with a black purse and the right pumps, she stuns everything time on the carpet Genevive Never disappoints and we love her............. Next we have entertainer extraordinaire Munachi Abii also on the blue carpet at the show she is wearing this knee length body hugging dress, it features unique detailing and nude illusions underneath that goes perfectly with her skin tone and she finished it off with nude shoes...she has minimal make up on, her low cut so worked with this look she looks stun-Ning!!!....

We have Beverly Naya in this green cut out dress by design Label Meena,it has cut outs on its hands and around her belly area,its form fitting, its showing off her body and her lady curves.She styled the dress with a gold coloured clutch and shoes.Her make up and hair are right on the mark, she looks super stylish, she looks like she should have been on that runway too lolz.
Next we have Toke Makinwa also in green,she is wearing a dress by Vlabel london with long sleeves, V shaped neckline that shows a welcoming amount of cleavage and an irregular shape at its hem,she is showing off her legs once again but we aren't yet tired of seeing them so keep it coming boo,her black high heel sandals add their own flare to this look, hair and make up flawless as always with Toke.She really looks amazing, we love love her in this dress
There were also people who had us going "uhh..la...la" and others not so much. .... First we have Mpho Laing she is wearing a dress fit for an audition for a cast as Mary Poppings on broadway or a sunday school teacher, her hat is the best thing about this look her dress is laced, it features see through detailing that shows the other dress underneath the laced layer, then it has this flowery mess going on around her boobs area and then that bag, funny thing is looking at her with the totality of the outfit her bag almost feels like its a basket and she's about to go hopping around some garden fetching apples...I mean, this doesn't work out at all, check out what Nkiru Anumudu wore being older doesn't excuse you for looking like this, at best we can say the combination with the yellow shoes are nice.
Next we have Toolz also on the blue carpet she wore a green long sleeved top with intricate patterns on it, its also features sheer detailing hence her breasts were a little on display but because of the unique patterns and designs it was pretty vague, she paired it with burgundy red oleku wrap pants and styled her look with a leopard print purse and finished it off with pink shoes well she looks beautiful, her hair and make up is gorgeous but we are not quite sure that the proportions of this different pieces and the variation in colour put together were totally in place, especially with the pants they are nice but doesn't quite hit it for us...sorry girl!!!but you do look good.
Next we have Ngozi Zed Eye, now she has been everywhere of late and definitely making her mark as a fashion favourite, she has killed it with every single outfit...this time she is wearing a dress by upcoming and equally unique designer Weiz Dhurm, it is a floor length coutoure dress, it also features a sheer layer at the top which was also designed with flower shaped patterns, her hair and make up was perfect. She looks very fashion forward, we like.
The men were for sure not left out of the Party.
First we have a man that we so wish we knew or atleast even his name because he needs some serious scolding for this and then a nice pat on the back for his courage lol, he is in head to toe red, literally!!!he styled his suit nicely actually nice bowtie, nice shades thankfully he wore a white shirt inside and not red but the red on red on red, it is really too much help us focus here atleast he should have worn black shoes*smh*.
Next we have singer Trafic in one of his usual looks again, its not so bad actually we understand that this is his style, part of what makes him stand out which is nice and he was styled by one of the best which is why we don't get why he wasn't advised to loose the socks for crying out loud, if he wore a different look on the blue carpet and to the event and he only wore this for his performance it wouldn't even matter, you can get away with wearing a sack on stage to perform as an artist, you can fall back on your artistry as an excuse but this as his literal outfit to the whole event just isn't hitting it for us.
Next we have Top Model and actor IK Ogbonna also on the blue carpet wearing a custom made Jason Porshe polka dot red shirt with a white collar and sleeve, he paired his shirt with black pants and shoes, he looks matured and effortlessly stylish, now he stands out
We have Daddy Tonye Cole he is wearing an outfit that looks very retro from the white shirt with a v shaped neckline to his palazo/fela looking camel coloured pants he doesn't quite look like he was sure of the event he was coming for or he is lost in a time glitch that exists only in his mind, we don't know for sure and his wife looked gorg, why couldn't he have just worn a suit or modern day pants for starters...a mess!! *sighs*
Others showed up in Black and white infact the amount of people who showed up in black and white to the 2014 Aquafina Elite model look was quite astonishing, almost felt like there was an indication to wear black and white on the invitations.
First we have Tv Host, model and actor Uti Nwachukwu he is wearing a black and white printed shirt which he styled with black pants and shoes and accesorized with a man purse, wrist watch and black necklace, he looks good but would have preferred if he did not't tuck the shirt in, release it like Ik Ogbonna did, it would have taken the stiffness out of the look asides that he looks really cool.
Next we have upcoming stylist and a guy who is slowly make a stamp in mens fashion, known for his unique taste in clothes, very classy and retro statement pieces that he pulls off.Akin Faminu he is also in black and white wearing a three piece suit, a black and white stripped print shirt inside, a black waist coat and a white suit on top, black pants, black and white wing-tips shoes. He looks very dashing,even his pose is impressive, he sure is one to watch.
And finally we have Taofick Okoya also wearing black and white, he looks very confusing at first glance but then you look again and get where the outfit is headed. He is wearing a black and white shirt that is really long, almost tunic ish anyways it has an irregular hem and he wore a black blazer on it and black pants, shiny black shoes also, he looks very fashion and slightly avant garde ish, definitely stands out but we wish he would have loosened his suit, loose the button and let it fly free, show off the unique shirt, the style behind this look would have come popped. Buttoned up like that kind of makes it look wierd really, but he looks good still.
And then there were the ladies that stunned in Iconic Invanity , we have the amazing Elohor Aisien and organiser of Elite Model look she wore this beautiful black floor length gown, it hugs her in all the right places it has a slightly illusive peplum design at the waist line and a train that just drags beautifully behind her, she packed her hair in a pony which brought out her pretty face, she looked fabulous.
Next we have winner of the Elite Model look 2013 Nneoma Anosike also in Iconic Invanity, from the colour to the form fitting silhouette to the intricate hand work that went into this gown, it is ah-mazing, it fits her like a glove and when she strutted the runway in that dress ,it was quite a vision.Beautiful, iconic and ultra stylish!!!.
