Genevieve Pink Ball 2014

The pink ball!!!! Several celebrities and socialites were gathered for the annual Genevieve magazine pinkball ,the event which was held to fight and raise awareness about cancer was held on saturday at the Dorchester event hall in V.I Lagos. The dress code for the event was "a touch of pink".

Best  Dressed at the event..

Senator Florence ita-Giwa wowed us in a pink gown with silver embellishments and a off-shoulder dramatic neckline, she went for a gorgeous selection of silver accessories to style her gown. Well, she sure gave the younger ladies a run for their money in that dress, the gown is age appropriate, hugs her figure in all the right places . She looks gorgeous!!!

Osas ighodaro showed all the ladies how its done in a chic black 'high low' off-shoulder ball gown and pink beaded swirl patterns, her gown is by Toju Foyeh. Osas opted for a side swept hair style, definitely a right choice for this outfit, for her makeup she opted for a matching pink lipstick and styled her outfit with a matching pink peep toe and clutch. She showed reasonable amount of cleavage . a lot of people felt her gown was remniscent of the oscar de la Renta gown Mo Abudu wore for her birthday, and it sure does remind us of it but  we absolutely love her outfits still.

Dolapo Oni, her outfit was one of the very few outfits we loved at the pink ball, we've never seen her look this good, she wore a pink one hand mermaid inspired gown which featured  a little train and a double layer hemline with pleats, She looks good ,we love the details of her gown and we're still loving her bob hair do, her gown is from @elvirajude (ig page)

Yvonne Nwosu stunned in a pink tank, with thin straps and a floor length mermaid inspired skirt, designed by her label - Vonne Couture. We totally loved the ponytail hairstyle and the neck piece she styled the outfit with, but we can't help but feel like a silver neckpiece would have worked with her outfit better, but she looked really simple and really classy.

The ever pretty Toke Makinwa, arrived in a baby pink 2-in-1 gown by April by Kunbi, she like many other guests accessorized with silver jewelry, love the hair-do too. felt a little bit too bridal, but she looks gorgeous as ever.

Kunbi oyelese of ArilbyKunbi, wore a white long gown, styled with a pink bow sash, definitely one of the outfits we really loved. White and pink is such a perfect combo, her outfit was simple and just effortlessly gorgeous on her. she needs to work on her pose though.

Now this was one look we adored!!! Singer, Tonye Garrick kept it real in a backless gown , with a halter neck and deep V neckline. We loved the fabric of the gown, and the fitting is just right. We totally loved her hair, spot on!! She Channeled a old hollywood glamour hair style, courtesy of @thewhispererng... She looked amazeballs!!!

Ene maya lawani's look at the pink ball was errthang!!!! She chose a unique style, that turban looked so perfect on her and totally blended with her dress, we loved that she accessorized with a gold belt to accentuate her waist. She was one of the very few people at the event , that accessorized their outfit with gold instead of silver and she nailed it.

Betty irabor, her gown was beautiful as well but we couldn't help but think that the gown might have looked even better without the sheer sleeves and the pink sheer layer on the skirt. it just seemed too much, a little less next time.

We totally adored seyi shay's simple one hand off shoulder gown, she looked incredible, her hair, makeup and that pose, just on point. That dress was made for her!

some looks, that weren't quite there yet,

Also at the pinkball, is the gorgeous Mocheddah in a pink gown and cape by ugonna Omeruo of House of Nwocha.
We absolutely loved the styling of her outfit, the silver shoes, the sparkling silver clutch and the silver neck chain. Now, we loved the gown without the cape, she looked so pretty.. But with the cape on ,from the front it looked nice, but looked a bit funny from the back . we wished her gown looked more like the sketch in the middle, cos if the gown didn't have the tulle ruffles, perhaps if the same material used to make the upper part of her gown, was also used through out to make a short high low ball gown, just like the sketch, It would have been so on point, with the cape, But we thought it was nice still. Also we love that she went for a very youthful look, very girly and sweet. Her outfit would probably grow on us in time... Sporting bangs and a light pink lipstick, her look was #HouseofNwocha#pinkbarbie

Media personality, Eku Edewor at the Genevieve magazine pinkball... *sigh* oh dear, she arrived wearing a white cropped top and a pink high low maxi skirt. Now we loved what she was trying to achieve except that she didn't quite nail it, maxi skirts are all about the fitting on the waist, once u miss that , it just looks like you are competing in a sack race, after looking at more photos of Eku, the skirt was a bit loose at her waist. The maxi skirt is clearly supposed to be high waist and hold firmly at her waist just like Sarah Hylands (right) . Now we loved the asymmetric hemline of the skirt just like j.Lo's own, it was nailed to the T.
Now to her cropped top, what would have looked better would have been a more fitting top like Sarah's , if the fitting of the skirt was right and she came in her top just the way it is now, it wouldn't have looked that bad.
The styling of her outfit too was terrible, her hair was sticking out from all ends, but we gonna let it slide on account of, she could have been going for a messy ponytail style ish. The pearl necklace was absolutely uneccesary, and the black pouch should have been a clutch!!! Her black pumps were cute though...

stephanie looks gorgeous, we really didn't like the dress though, the lace bodice that extends to her waist is too long , it should have been shorter, we love the pink sequinss skirt though and the one hand design.

Eunice Efole ; this  pink silk gown could have easily gorgeous, if the bedazzled belt wasn't too low, maybe a little high up , and maybe it should have sparkled more and maybe sleeveless with a lower neckline, we love the lower part of the dress, it looked gorgeous and it looks like it has pockets which we really loved.

Grace Egbabgbe, whats with the bouquet??? and that awful dress, what was she, coming from a wedding where she was the bridesmaid and she came straight to the event.

we just don't know what to make of this outfit i mean really.. the awful awful gown, the hair and that horrid makeup *sigh*

oh no Gbemiii!!! this outfit wasn't for this event, she looks more like a pastors wife at a convention.

we have several ideas on how Mo Abudu achieved this awful look, she probably arrived at the event and forgot that it was a pink color theme , so she grabbed a pink sash from the left overs of the interior decorators stuff, she completely ruined the beauty of that dress by wearing that sash, some people arrived at the event in orange and it wasn't all bad.

OKay , so we somehow feel like this gown would have been more gorgeous without the black cape
especially the way it's pinned down on the sheer panel there at her chest, plus maybe if she posed better with her two hands on the waist , we probably would have liked the look better.

Lynxx looks absolutely handsome here , in black tuxedo, pink waistcoat and pink pocket square handkerchief , absolutely gorgeous, he even looks better than most of the women.
