So at the recent 2014 Future Awards Africa, we have inspirational Singer/Songwriter Asa she was on the red carpet and also performed from her new album Bed Of stones, She was seen wearing an Iconic Invanity outfit from their Ss15 collection.
She was styled by Janet Nwosu, on the runway the model was seen wearing an orange crop top which was really cool but in true Asa style she switched it up with a white long sleeved top with a turtle neck, the look is made up of a long blue cape, a monochromatic skirt with two slits.
The cape has an x shaped black strap that goes all the way to her shoulders and extends a bit to her arms,she styled her look with a nerdy glass and red Manolo Blahnik shoes, for a little bit of difference for when she perfomed on stage she took off the cape and wore a shorter cape-ish south African inspired design version, she looked very quirky,it is a very unique look but not exactly red carpet gold we would have loved it if she wore it for just her performance, it feels alot more like a performance based look but its Asa, her style is a little bit different, so she gets a pass.
Also at the 2014 Future Awards Africa was Singer Mocheddah she stunned on the red carpet in a fiery red House of Nwocha dress, We have got to say that Mo has been out of the spotlight for quite a while and now that she is back, she brought her A game in fashion, it has been from one fabulous look to another devastatingly gorgeous look, her charisma,that pout...Ugh!!!
Her hair and makeup is to die for, its a sleeveless dress with lacing and bead work at the top, she accesorized with a long silver earring and a white clutch with red details, her shoes her red which is the on thing we would change if we could and this is us being picky but truth be told its basically 2015 baby!!! and the whole matchy matchy ish well Fashion has moved on..too much matchy otherwise she looks Perfecto!! We are also thankful that she didn't over accessorize.... Check out her man in a black two piece long sleeved traditional attire okay wrong honey...Don't come to an award show/event with your girl looking super fierce and fashion forward and then you just down that whole vibe by not complimenting her look please take note you guys, Men match your woman, try to compliment her even you turn out looking fabulous because the beauty of you two as a couple shines through even more and rubs off on you,aside that they look great.
Coupling seemed to be a trend at the 2014 Future Awards Africa, We have Dakore Akande and her husband.Dakore is wearing this blue dress courtesy of , its a design of theirs she was styled by Yolanda Okereke.
She looked so beautiful in this blue ensemble, it's got a sheer layer that starts at the neckline and then extends to her cleavage, it has embellishment attached to it,from then on its all silky and has a peplum that my partner in crime can't help but feel like should have been slightly longer.
Then the lower part has very intricate detailed patterns on it,it also has a V shaped cut out at the back that shows her toned back, a mermaid shaped design that finishes off the dress at its hem, her hair and make up is beautiful, she accesorized with gold earrings and clutch purse but her best accessory was her husband talk about "complimenting" your partner on the red carpet, he looked suave in an all black suite,he hung a white scarf around his neck and a red pocket square with killer black shiny shoes, together they were absolutely stunning and we give them best dressed couple...
Toke Makinwa, she appeared in a green scene stealing halter neckline and thigh high slit dress off the runway, she was styled by harvellastyles, she had light and bright make up on, she accesorized with green earrings, gold bracelet and a black clutch purse and completed her look with gold heels, her hair was pulled back which was very smart because it allows the top of her dress to really be the focus when you look her, the amazing prints are loud yet subtle and very indulging to look at, it is a really pretty dress as well as she.
She came with her husband now we won't throw shade at him for wearing a traditional two piece, because if you followed Toke up on social media, you would realize that they hurriedly went from a wedding to the Future Awards... Her husband even seems to still be wearing the same outfit he wore at the wedding they attended, she probably thought at one point that they would not make it to the show cause she showed excitement for making it on time for the red carpet at the Future Awards on her instagram, so kudos to them both, he is tall, dark and just compliments her well and thankfully he isn't wearing some way off colour from hers, he wore white which is very safe....
Next!!! To bring us to the final end of the most elegant looks at the future awards,we have the Queen of the comedic scene in Nigeria, the one and the only Funke Akindele in this amazing black and white ball gown, the top had a bustier covered in sequins and then a sheer layer which extends all the way back as slim straps,she looks very glamorous.
This is what fashion does You guys. And to be clear "FASHION" in this context is not just about the clothes, its the perfect hairdo that fits the look, its the make up, the charisma, the glow the outfit gives you and of cause how well the look is put together.It brings out in totality the beauty that you see in yourself and want the world to see, that is Fashion!! .
Funke looks absolutely ravishing and she eludes the beauty of a princess,she accesorized with silver earrings as well as a silver bracelet and ring and paired her look with a grey clutch, she has a good hair up do and her make up is gorgeous and the red pop of colour with her lips is everything! !!... looking at this dress from the back is such a pretty view,with this dress she is saying she is a lady, a woman, she knows her body and what fits it and she is self confident and lets not forget stylish too.... and lets not also forget to mention that she was styled by our girl Yolanda Okereke, great job hun.
