The met gala is here again!!! one of the most anticipated and biggest fashion event of the year. This years theme for the Met gala is - Commes de Garçons: Art of the in-between from designer Rei Kawakubo, a 74 year old Japanese designer. Like we all know , guests are also supposed to dress in the fashions of the event's honored designer. In this case which is  bold, architectural and daring. Only very few people got the memo, we were a little disappointed with what most of the guests came in , we wanted more!!! . Nevertheless , some celebrities gave us hope and ended up saving the day.

Our best dressed for the Met Gala was definitely Rihanna, we couldn't wait to see how she was going to rule the red carpet in her bold fashion choice, you know she always brings it on the red carpet , always slays never here to play. 

Rihanna stunned on the red carpet in Commes de Garçons by Rei Kawakubo , now this is how you dress to a costume gala, honoring the designer who inspired the theme of this years event. Now on the right you can see how it was worn onthe model but Rihanna took this look and made it her own, styled it perfectly and we were so glad she came, we literally waited all night to see her grand entrance on the red carpet of the Met gala.
This years theme ; Rei kawakubo- Commes des garçon; art of the in -between, is all about bold fashion, risque and daring looks and from the beginning the one celebrity we couldn't wait to see was Rihanna. Her makeup and hairstyle was in sync with this look and we love it.

We also loved this amazing cold shouder ball gown on Zendaya by Dolce & Gabbana at the Met Gala, she looks totally amazing!!! The hair, the dress ,that flawless skin, everything put together is just Life!!! This is why we love the met Gala, so many amazing gowns hit the red carpet ,beautiful architectural designs and we just sit back , relax and drink it all in! Oh and her hair, can anything be more amazing than that fro!!!! Best part of this dress is the amazing floral and animal print fabric , it's just gorgeous!!!!! , she always owns the Met gala red carpet, we love love love!!!!

Zoe kravitz also stunned at the Met Gala in a pink cape dress featuring black ruffles by Oscar De La Renta , we love love love her look. The blonde cropped hair,is just amazing, we can't think,of anything more gorgeous. Guys, this year's Met Ball ,for the few that got it right we are soooooo impressed and glad!!!

Here Are Some Looks That We Weren't Too Impressed With At The Met Ball.

Kim Kardashian obviously looks hot and gorgeous as always, but we felt  like this look was too simple for the event. We were really looking forward to what she was going to wow us in this year, we've always loved her fashion forward looks at each years Met Ball and we were really let down.

Now to Pharrell williams wife Helen Lasicanh , she definitely dressed according to the theme, she's wearing a piece straight off the fall 2017 runway tomatoe red onesie from the Comme des Garçons label of the designer that's being honored this year, Rei Kawakubo.

  We felt she could have spiced things up a bit with that outfit, for example Rihanna's outfit she wore something straight from the designer's collection also but styled it so gorgeously and slayed , that's what we wished she should have done.

  Or maybe wear something completely different, we are not really sure this look could have been salvaged, right now she looks like she dressed up as one of the teletubbies sent to a kids birthday party as a surprise.

Her husband Pharrell on the other hand wore a black motor jacket and plaid shirt from the Comme des Garçons label, paired with custom vintage jeans that read “Rei” across one knee. He literally broke the dress code rule of the Met gala but all in Tribute to Rei 

Our Best Dressed Men at this years MET gala 2017

Now you guys know we always select our best dressed based on the theme for that year. Now, it's a little hard for men to get creative with the theme outside the usual suit and tie trend but we think these two gave us that bold, extra look we were looking for on the red carpet. 

Rami Malek was red hot at this year's Met Gala. He showed up at the red carpet wearing an all custom made Dior Homme suit with a black floral corsage to match his high-shine boots, a little something that made him look extra cool was the fact that Rihanna was also posing on the carpet directly behing him so she kind of kept photo bombing lol. We loved it!!! 

Secondly on the best dressed men's list was Diddy, Omg!!! Diddy totally rocked his outfit, super extra, bold, risky and everything we've ever wanted to see on the MET carpet.

 Our favourite part of it all was when he just casually lounged on the stairs of the museum, that just did it for us, it was such a cool moment.
